Pakistan Cricket Board files notice of dispute against BCCI for not Enjoying String : News, Cricket

Highlights

  • 1

An unaffiliated ICC committee will examine the view of dispute.

  • Two

India-Pakistan have played one bilateral series as the 26/11.

  • 3

But, India and Pakistan have faced off in ICC events.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent a note of dispute against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

PCB wants the Indian board to cover approximately USD 70 million as compensation for not enjoying two “home” bilateral show scheduled in 2014 and 2015.

After that, an unaffiliated ICC committee will examine the note of dispute and also determine whether BCCI failed to fulfil a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) signed in 2014 to perform undercover series.

“The ICC has received a Notice of Dispute in the PCB’s lawyers, which is offered to the Chairman of the Dispute Resolutions Committee next week,” that an ICC spokesman said on Thursday.

The Pakistan board finalised its compensation claim against the BCCI in September and had completed its inspection procedure. “Our case is that the BCCI signed an MoU together 2014 to perform six bilateral series, beginning with our home collection, which they’ve not done as yet. Secondly they’ve prevented playing us in bilateral series because 2008 although they have no problems playing against us in ICC events,” PCB chairman Najam Sethi explained.

The two sub-continental cricket giants have played with only one bilateral series because the 26/11 terror attacks. Back in December 2012, Pakistan had toured India for three ODIs and 2 T20 Internationals.

In ICC events, yet, Pakistan and India have faced off over the past several decades. In the Champions Trophy earlier this year, held in England, India had defeated Pakistan in their championship opener but lost the last for their arch-rivals.

Lately, when cricket ties with Pakistan could restart, former India captain MS Dhoni was in the ideal place to observe.

“An India vs Pakistan series is not only sports, it is a lot greater than that so that the government is the best estimate and up for them to have a call if we ought to performwith,” Dhoni said.

However, the mythical Bishan Singh Bedi said one should not “narrow down the meaning of patriotism” by politicising bilateral cricketing relationship with Pakistan

“Exactly why politicise cricket? Have you ever been able to wipe terrorism off ? Cricket is a platform to come closer,” Bedi told PTI during an annual DDCA Conclave.

Highlights

  • Pietersen has scored 8,181 runs from 104 Test matches at an average of all 47.28

  • He’s fifth in the list of in Tests for England

  • He’s now currently playing with franchise cricket round the globe

On June 27, 1980, one of the generation’s cricketers was born — Kevin Pietersen. The South Africa-born former England captain turns 37 today.

The England run-machine turned around to its Three-Lions after failing to break in to the national teams due to political reasons of his country. After registering a Kolpak, adhering, Pietersen chose the cricket world by storm since his debut on England back at Harare.

With 8,181 runs from 104 Test matches at an average of all 47.28, he’s fifth in the list of all-time run-getters in Tests for England. He’s also fifth in the list of most slamming 4,422 runs. Pietersen is third highest run-scorer with 1176 runs from 37 T20Is behind Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan, in T20Is for England.

He became the across all formats of England and was set to achieve higher heights but his off-field antics somehow recognized his skills. His splendor and sway on the pitch was more often than not overshadowed with his colourful nature off it. And in 2014, his England career came after nine years of sheer entertainment, such as a comeback after being dumped from 2012. He represented England in the Ashes of 2014.

Since then he has been enjoying with franchise based leagues also has dedicated himself to T20 cricket.

What led to one of England batsman to the ending?

Pietersen has been attention searching and outspoken. He’s never been buddies with the media that is English and the right-hander never kept back from taking jibes or speaking his mind. That lasted only five months although back in 2008 he was appointed as the national team’s captain. His connection with the coach — Peter Moores was not good and after the reports of the rift getting public during the India tour back he was investing on troubled waters. He was forced to resign after the turn of the year and Moores soon followed suit.

His connection with the ECB did not get better after that.

But his skills couldn’t be questioned. He was still the best player in the team and that he played a critical role in England’s Ashes victory in Australia after 24 years in 2010-11. Following that, he also scored as England whitewashed India from the four-match series back home 533 runs from four matches.

He suffered from accidents from the middle and also couldn’t play with the World Cup in 2011 because of hernia. He was getting more of a celebrity in the team than a trustworthy player.

However, the other dispute came up in May 2012. For a while longer, he wanted to play but he was denied that chance from the ECB. He announced his retirement from the game’s formats.

He played an essential role in the Test series. He struck a century in the first Test against the Proteas but said that the next Test in the series might be his last for England. He also talked about difficulties from the room.

In the coming days, allegations were made which he sent associates of their Southern African dressing space text messages. Names of Flower and Strauss were cited in the messages. He had discussions with the ECB and that he also committed his future to all formats of the game but was lost for the next Test.

He starred against India with the bat for those traffic, scoring 338 runs from four matches since they beat India 2-1.

He was now.

He had a good outing from the Test series against New Zealand but an injury forced him to miss the return leg of the set.

He also made a comeback in 2013 from New Zealand. However, a knee injury forced him to miss that the return show in May. After that Pietersen had a good outing in the Ashes from Australia in the return leg Australia but at home he put up a show and England were whitewashed. He again fell out with the team and trainer direction and was dropped again although he finished with 294 runs.

Since that time KP hasn’t represented England in some of those formats.

He shot jibes in his own sight’s lineup at everybody there and it was the end of his career. He went on to say that Andy Flower was ‘sour’ and ‘dreadful’ to work with. He also voiced his disappointment in the way with Alastair Cook. KP known as England wicket-keeper a ‘bad influence’ and vulnerable England dressing room civilization.

While all this finished the odds of England being represented by him back, he kept saying that he wants to play for them again. When Cook declared his decision to step down following England’s dreadful India tour, ” he tweeted jokingly — you would say — ‘#BringBackKP’. This shows his love for his desire along with the sport he has to represent the 3 Lions again.

– KP (@KP24) February 6, 2017

His attitude and larger than life attitude could have had a negative influence in the cricket however one has to think that he was one of the most trendy and affecting cricketers of his times.
